ABOUT

Syndicas Studio is the digital home of Luán Syndicas, a third year design student at The University of Melbourne, majoring in architecture.

“My love for architecture spawned from a love of tactile interactions with objects, such as LEGO®, percussive instruments, and film photography. These experiences instilled in me a deep appreciation for physical engagement, and how it is able to foster a level of appreciation and understanding otherwise unattainable.

Drawing from this love of tactile media, I integrate it into much of my current work, placing a heavy emphasis on physical model-making and prototyping. I find these methods more communicative and effective at expressing ideas, allowing for a deeper connection with the design process. I am driven by a desire to extend this love for tangibility to larger-scale commercial projects in the future.

My fascination with architecture stems from its ability to shape both individual experiences within a space and communal interactions. Whether it's sports arenas, shopping centers, airports, or skyscrapers, I am drawn to the dynamic impact these structures have on our daily lives.

As I continue my journey in architecture, I aim to bring a unique perspective rooted in tactile engagement, enriching my contributions to the field and creating spaces that resonate deeply with people on both personal and collective levels."
